June Birthdays

There are several babies from our community that were born last June. We would like to do a community "Babies' First Birthday" party. This would not be meant to take the place of family birthday parties and guests would not be expected to bring gifts! It would just be a fun way to celebrate as a community and maybe get to know each other a little better! No date has been selected yet and there are still many details that need to be worked out....if you would be interested in helping or attending let me know! If you have a baby born in June let me know, too! I know of four babies right off the top of my head....

Community Yard Sale

A few people have mentioned that they are interested in doing a community yard sale sometime this month or maybe next....if you're interested let me know and we can try to organize something!

They're at it again

While walking the dog first thing this morning (Sun 3/1), I counted at least 6 or 7 path lamps by the pool path that have been busted out....AGAIN!!!.

Hi Everyone,

Dagmar email me today and he was wondering how you actually post to the blog. Once you signup for a blogspot account, which I think all you have to do is have an email and choose a screen name and password or if you have a gmail account you just sign in, in the upper right you will see a link that says "new post," click on that link and it will open a screen to write your post in.

Also, if you would like to be an admin for the blog please email me. We are looking for someone who wants to be in charge of the layout and all the functions we could add to it.

Many thanks to Dagmar for collecting everyone's emails and I am excited to see so many people empowered to help make where we live a better place. Hopefully this blog can serve as a tool for community members to readily access information and make relevant posts that are specific to the issues of our community. I know many people in our community probably already use 85239.com to keep up with information, but in the few times I have been on the site I have found the forum to be a place where many people are just looking to cause confrontation over finding solutions to the problems that affect us all (no offense 85239.com, I think you are a great asset for Maricopa). This blog has open access so anyone should be able to post and my hope is that people will speak candidly about the issues at hand while keeping in mind the struggles that many in our community are going through.
