A few people have mentioned that they are interested in doing a community yard sale sometime this month or maybe next....if you're interested let me know and we can try to organize something!
last weekend of March would work for me. Do you know who the people are that are already planning something? We could talk to them and hopefully join them. OR, shall we just plan something for that weekend? We could poste information at the mailboxes and ask people to call us if they want to participate. Dagmar
It appears that people are planning to do it the weekend of March 28-29. I know that two of the people are in Juniper. My neighbor (in Sage) is interested in doing it and I'll probably ask to put the little stuff we have with hers. I know there's a pretty big cul-de-sac in Juniper, so maybe we could just set up tables there? I'll check with the others and see how they feel about that....

On the other hand my idea of this event was more like a "open garage" like (open house) where we just pull the few items we want to sell into our driveways. I personally would not have enough for a garage sale but if several people on each street would put out the stuff they don't need anymore, than it might be fun for people to walk from garage to garage - kind of like a swap market. I don't have a lot of "living" experience here in the US. I have no idea if somehting like this could work here. What do think "Alyssald" and also I would enjoy receiving an opinion from the other readers. "Alyssald" I would like to call you by your first name and I have to admit I forgot it. My name is Alyssa....my userid isn't very creative :) We also don't have too much stuff to sell. We cleaned out our garage over the weekend and we basically have a bunch of little stuff. I think that your idea would work as long as you have enough people on your street willing to participate :) Our neighbor is planning on having a garage sale so we're just going to piggy-back on her sale. We're right next door so it'll be like one big sale. We live on Tamara Lane in Sage so if there are others who just have a little bit to sell we are certainly willing to combine items! We would just label everything with different color stickers to keep track of sales. Once we have come up with a date I'll post it on here.
