I had a friend who swore by regular Tide detergent...the dry kind, not the liquid. He would make a paste on the stain with detergent and a tiny bit of water and then scrub it with a big push broom. I haven't personally tried it...but Tide did get dirt and oil out of the bottom of my wedding gown :) Good luck!
